See the Old Sheldon Church

Built between 1745 and 1753, these incredible ruins tell an even more incredible story. Originally recognized as Prince William’s Parish Church, the Old Sheldon was burned by the British in 1779 and rebuilt in 1826. Today, you will view beautiful ruins from the bygone era and many ancient graves. This is also the burial site for important members of history including Colonel William Bull and General Oglethorpe. Many locals believe this location is haunted, and you may find ghost hunters wandering the grounds just before dark.
