Spring Break on Hilton Head Island

Spring break isn’t just a pause from school—it can be chance for a family reset. Whether you’re racing to finish projects, juggling calendars, or simply craving a change of scenery, a dedicated week (or even a long weekend) away from the everyday hum can do wonders for connection, energy, and perspective for a family spring break.

Beachside Getaway is proud to offer Hilton Head Island vacation rentals for spring break. Think of your visit to Hilton Head Island as a family as a collective reset button: you pack a little adventure, a dash of relaxation, and a heap of togetherness. Ditch the Disney World and Orlando madness, this not about the loudest itinerary!  This spring break on Hilton Head is about shared experiences and a relaxed, island vibe that you and your family will remember forever.

Spring break often overlaps with the RBC Heritage Golf Tournament. The Heritage is an annual PGA Tour golf tournament and one of the longest-running events on the tour.  It’s closely associated with Hilton Head’s long standing golf tradition and the incredible event is set up at Harbour Town.

Originally created to showcase evolving American golf talent and to celebrate the sport’s regional allure, it quickly became known for its scenic, dogleg-laden course layouts and the supportive, enthusiastic local community. Over the years, the tournament has attracted top PGA Tour players and showcased memorable finishes, helping to elevate the reputation of its host course, Harbour Town Golf Links, and the Sea Pines Resort. While the event has undergone sponsorship changes and scheduling shifts, its reputation for competitive golf, greenside artistry, and a strong connection with Hilton Head’s coastal culture has endured, making The Heritage a beloved staple on the tour calendar for decades.

The course is a Pete Dye course that finishes on the ocean with the iconic Hilton Head lighthouse.  Enjoy the scene from the Quarterdeck or from the 18th hole! This is a great (albeit, very busy) time on Hilton Head Island. You will want to reserve your vacation rental on Hilton Head Island for the RBC Heritage or Heritage golf rental as soon as possible.

The Heritage just released 2026 tickets, so be sure to plan ahead and secure your tickets (along with your place to stay!) Visit the Heritage website and choose from Calibogue Club level ($600 per ticket) to a Grounds ticket ($100).

For great places to stay during the RBC Heritage, visit our properties with golf course views (be sure to seek out ones in Sea Pines resort if you are looking for Heritage places!) We highly recommend checking out 67 Plantation Drive and securing it early!  Need a recommendation? Our team at Beachside Getaway can help with your spring break on Hilton Head and planning for the RBC Heritage golf tournament.

For many families, spring break often also overlaps with Easter.  Easter is a wonderful time on Hilton Head with plenty of things to do – from a mass Easter egg hunt with decorated eggs, crafting bunny and spring-themed crafts with the Island Rec center, or a lovely Easter brunch at any of the SERG Group restaurants on Hilton Head – you won’t be short of activities.  Families can attend a church service on Hilton Head Island (listed below) or share a simple time to slow down like a family beach walk. Whether you prefer quiet activities or lively outdoor fun for Easter, Hilton Head Island is full of traditions for your family on spring break.
