79 Kingston Dunes

We rented the home at 79 Kingston Dunes from Beachside Getaway, and it was a fantastic experience. The home itself was very, very nice -- huge kitchen/dining space, plenty of comfortable and private bedrooms, and a really excellent outdoor space. The pool, screened in from mosquitos, was a huge plus to have on-site. Kingston Dunes is tucked away a bit in Shipyard. While it's a short-ish walk to the beach, it's a longer way around by car and in a sort of cul-de-sac, making it more private from the busier developments in Shipyard. It's a great spot for a larger family. Working with Beachside Getaway was a fantastic experience. Communication was clear and consistent, and it appears to be a locally-held (maybe family run?) company -- you get common sense, reasonable interaction from their team of friendly and helpful reps. I'd definitely rent from them again.

Our stay on Hilton Head was wonderful. The house, 79 Kingston Dunes, was perfect for our group of 10. We had kids ranging from 4-15 and they all loved it. It was a quick walk to the beach, and an easy drive to everywhere on the Island. The house was absolutely beautiful with many amenities. We do wish we’d paid extra to have the pool heated; we went the first week of June and the pool water was still very cold. The rental management agency, Beachside Getaway, was great to work with and responded quickly to any questions we had. They also checked in regularly to make sure everything was great for us.

This house was amazing and we’ll stay there again!

What a fabulous home to stay in at Hilton Head Island. 7 high school girlfriends celebrating turning 70 this year. The home was absolutely perfect for our group. It is a beautiful home with lots of beds & bathrooms, open concept and updated furnishings and decor. Management checked in with us periodically to make sure all was well.

we held our 28th annual golf trip. The house was perfect for us. It is great to be able to share a house that accommodates a large group. It is always nice to be able sit and visit as most of us see each other one time a year. It was the perfect house.

Great home! We had two families here and there was plenty of space to relax. The home is newly renovated and beautiful. There is a walking path to the beach (about 15 min walk) but not conducive to carry all your beach supplies there. We drove and parked at the beach everyday. There was plenty of parking and it’s about a 7 minute drive through the neighborhood. Fantastic stay overall, would recommend!

This home is perfect for a large family. House was beautiful, clean and well equipped for our needs. Located in a quiet, seclude part of Shipyards. Beachside Getaway is a top tier management team and was very responsive to any of our needs and checked in regularly. The pool was wonderful. Easy walk/bike ride to the beach. Can't recommend this house enough, would definitely book again.

We had such a fun time for our first time at Hilton Head. The home had plenty of room for all 14 of us and the kitchen was amazing. The bike ride to the beach access was easy (not for young kids though). But we had alot of stuff so the guys had to drive our stuff to the beach in the morning and set up then we would all meet them shortly after. Kids loved the pool also.

This home was absolutely perfect for our family! Pool was great, bedrooms were private, open layout of kitchen, Dining Area, and living space perfect! No issues at all!

Plenty of space, clean rooms, comfy beds. Everyone enjoyed the heated pool. It was worth the extra fee for the week. The Beachside Getaway gear credit was a bonus as well. We were able to use it to rent beach chairs do we could leave ours at home! The entire experience from booking to staying to leaving was wonderful!

Great place! Close to everything, yet very quiet neighborhood.

From the check in process to the departure process Beachside Getaway was a pleasure to work with. They provided all of the necessary information for us, and we felt at home when we were there. The property was exactly as pictured and was beautiful. While the weather didn't cooperate as expected, we still made use of the large and comfortable main living area to cozy up on the couches and watch movies and we even swam in the pool in the rain one day! The walk to the beach was pleasant, and we walked there nearly every morning. Unfortunately, it was too much for one of our friends with knee issues, so we were grateful for the drop off circle close to the Shipyard private beach access, and the close parking available. If the weather had been better, there would have been a lot of competition for those few parking spots, but I think we might have been one of the few brave groups to hit the beach on the two days it wasn't pouring from the remnants of Erin. Thanks for providing us with such a beautiful home to have our girls' weekend!

The home is perfect for a large crowd. We had relatives coming in all throughout the week. The kitchen is well stocked and a plus was the wine cooler. Decor and upkeep on house

We had a wonderful time on Hilton Head Island. The house was very nice and more than met our needs for the week. It was a short walk to the beach, but if you didn’t go to the beach, there was a pool at the house for our use. One member in our family is a quadriplegic and the main floor was quite accessible for him. I would highly recommend this property.

Very nice and very large home in a gated community. We had four families with young children stay and there was plenty of room for all of us. Only 3 car passes are allowed so it was a little tricky for our 4 families but we made it work. We used the walking path to the beach twice while we were here, a great benefit of this location. We were there in August and the pool was still cold, would reccomend getting pool heat We were able to do laundry which was fantastic. Plenty of beach/pool towels available (must be washed and returned before check out). We would definitely recommend for large families/group of friends.

We vacation on Hilton Head several times a year and have stayed in many different rental villas and homes depending on the size of our group. Aside from the fact that this was a beautiful home, we were most impressed with the property management team at Beachside Getaway for their responsiveness and caring attitude. They checked in with us before, during and after our stay to make sure we were happy, and I can tell you, we WERE happy. Everyone in our group of 10 thought this was the best place we've ever stayed on the island. The house was immaculate and the pool was clear and beautiful. The open living design of the main floor was perfect for our large family and we also enjoyed the layout of the bedrooms. New appliances and designer interior decor were the icing on the cake. The only issues we had were there were no kitchen towels when we arrived and one clogged drain, and both of these were quickly resolved by Beachside within half an hour. I cannot recommend 79 Kingston Dunes and its outstanding management team at Beachside enough for large groups or families and we will definitely be booking again next time.

Great vacation residence. Newly renovated with every detail thought out. The back yard and patio were welcome quiet spots and the pool, while chilly in April, put the cherry on top. The staff were friendly, attentive and, most of all, available. We will definitely be returning soon.

Beautiful newly renovated house with large great room big enough for family meals. Having your own pool was great and wasn't too far to HHI’s fabulous beaches

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the property, especially the pool. We were in it every day. The management company was very responsive to the minor issues we brought to their attention. I would highly recommend this home for your next Hilton Head vacation.

Was a convenient location for beach access and all things Hilton Head. Short car ride to beach parking. Also could be done walking if the group is capable of about 1.5 miles. Property was large enough for 8 and well maintained.

Lot's of extras! The pool and corn hole area were lots of fun.

The place is perfect for a large family or group. It is exactly as advertised and as "turn key" as any place I have stayed. The property management company was also wonderful to work with and even checked in with us to see if we needed anything. It's a real great combination. Only things I would suggest are more personal preference things and would take it from a 4.8 to a 5 stay stay. Would absolutely go back!

Loved our Spring Break getaway here! Great short walk to the beach, warm pool for the kids and an amazing spot to be in Hilton Head Island. We will be back!

We were able to enjoy this home for a week's stay on HHI. The location was great, and the property management was very responsive when we had issues arise. The rooms were very quiet, which was great as we did have a 7-month-old with us. The beach was amazing. 

This is our second stay in Shipyard. We enjoyed the location, the layout of the house and having everything on one floor. Lots of different areas in the great room for different activities.
