Bluffton MayFest

Mayfest in Bluffton, SC is held in early May and is a vibrant community festival celebrating local culture, arts, and the Lowcountry lifestyle, often featuring vendors, food, and music in the historic district.

Also referred to as the Bluffton Village Festival, Mayfest is the top annual event in Bluffton, South Carolina and takes place on Saturday, May 9.  This annual event has grown to become the staple of the community for annual events. It is a great family event to walk, stroll the historic district and shop.  Orchestrated by The Rotary Club of Bluffton, this festival features many food vendors and artists. Admission is free for all.

In May 2026, events include the Sunset Palooza (May 15), For the Love of Summer (May 30), and Gullah Cultural celebrations. Key happenings in Bluffton during May 2026:

·      Sunset Palooza (May 15): Located at Bluffton Oyster Factory Park, this party features live music, food trucks, and local vendors.

·      For the Love of Summer (May 30): A family-friendly event at Martin Family Park with live music, bounce houses, and games.

·      Gullah Heritage Events: The Bluffton Gullah Heritage Center hosts celebrations of family legacy and a Sweetgrass basketry workshop on May 17.

·      Mother's Day Activities: Specialized brunches, such as the MOMosa Brunch at Hewitt Oaks (May 9).

·      Spring Markets: Taylor’s Garden Market offers plants and local goods on May 15.
