Wednesdays at Wexford Outdoor Market

Every Wednesday, from May 1st through September 4th, the Village at Wexford is transformed into a spectacular outdoor Farmers’ Market. This unique sprawling Farmers’ Market, features local homegrown “eats and treats” – bringing the freshest produce, delicacies and other locally-inspired items to area residents and visitors in a unique Lowcountry setting.

HarbourFest Firework Night at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina

HarbourFest at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina on Hilton Head Island is a weekly celebration during the summer with live music featuring Shannon Tanner, kids activities with Cappy the Clown, bouncy houses and more. Tuesday nights during HarbourFest are the traditional fireworks nights featuring a spectacular show that lights up the summer nighttime sky at dusk. This family-friendly event has been enjoyed by thousands of visitors for the last thirty years! (See dates below)

Also enjoy entertainment from Shannon Tanner and the Oyster Reefers on Thursdays during the summer playing a live Caribbean concert featuring all your favorite island tunes as part of Parrot Palooza.

Garvin-Garvey Freedman Cottage Tour

The Garvin House is located at the intersection of Bridge Street and Wharf Street within the “Old Town” district of Bluffton, SC. The structure dates to ca. 1870 and is an excellent example of Carolina Lowcountry vernacular architecture of the late-19th Century. It is believed to be one of the earliest known freedmen owned houses still extant on the May River. Guided tours of the Garvin House are available on Tuesday and Thursday from 10am-4pm and on Friday’s by appointment. Reservations are not required for guided tours, unless you have a group of 10 or more. Tours last approximately 30 minutes and are offered as visitors arrive unless previously scheduled.
