We Know 4 of the Best Hilton Head Bike Trails

There is nothing quite like the feeling of warm summer air whipping through your hair as you venture down unknown paths within a tropical paradise. As it turns out, cycling Hilton Head is one of the most popular recreation activities on the island. As it also happens, we know some of the best Hilton Head bike trails you and your family can explore during your vacation.

Hilton Head Bike Trails

Sea Pines Bike Trails: As the most popular Hilton Head bike path, there was no way it couldn’t make this list. With over 15 miles of trail to blaze, you’ll get to view some of the most stunning sights in the Sea Pines Resort such as Harbour Town, Sea Pines Plantation Club, the South Beach Marina Village, and more! The area also offers beach access, a spa and fitness center, eco tours, tennis, and boat rentals, so you’ll always find something to do while exploring the premise.

Fish Haul Creek Park: Located east of Mitchelville Beach, this historic location contains many stories of the land in which it stands. It is also the home to Mitchelville Freedom Park where Union General Ormsby Mitchel declared South Carolina’s freedom. Along the dirt paths, you will find shaded pavilions, lookout points, and lots of tiny crabs scurrying across the road. The park is surrounded by scenic views you can enjoy during your ride and a path to the beach that is catered to more adventurous bikers.

Jarvis Creek Park: Cruise the 1.1-mile lakeside loop at this 53-acre park. The paved trail runs through wooded areas and over the marshes, so you can be sure you’ll get lovely views of the area, and may even be lucky enough to sight a South Carolina gator in the marsh. After biking, be sure to check out all the other recreational activities the park offers such as outdoor training equipment, playgrounds, fishing piers, pavilions, grassy fields for a game of soccer or yoga practice, and more.

Coligny Beach Park: Located towards the southern tip of the island, this beachfront public park is the perfect place to soak in the sun and take in Hilton Head’s seaside charm. Feel free to explore the boardwalk and then steer your bikes onto the beach, cool the kids off at the kid-friendly splash pad, or follow the loop towards some of the finest resorts on the island. There are many things to see and do here as it is along one of Hilton Head Island’s most popular beaches.
