It's rated as a Gold Level Bicycle friendly Community from the American League of Bicyclists, and It's a great way to sightsee, get some exercise, and get where you need to go without renting a car or calling an Uber. It allows for you to really take in all that the island has to offer and let’s not forget its eco friendly! There are tons of places to choose from when renting bikes, and this includes children’s bikes.

Hilton Head Island is not only a great place to bike because of its southern charm, but the fact it has 64 miles of biking paths and around 100 miles of protected pathways! That no doubt makes for a safe and tranquil biking experience. Here are some of the top places you can bike during your stay at Hilton Head Island. Some are for leisure for families, and some offer a challenge

1. Fish Haul Creek Park - With areas shaded and covered, to forests and marsh, this 16 acre park is nothing short of beautiful. It's remote and safe, and offers so many great sightseeing opportunities.

2. Old House Creek Pier - This semi secluded area offers wildlife viewing of shrimp at the pier, and it's extremely peaceful due to it being a fishing and crabbing destination.

3. Palmetto Dunes Bike Paths - The Palmetto Dunes resort consists of 5 miles of shaded and paved biking trails, and about 3 miles of beaches to ride along. It’s definitely a path you should check out while you’re here

This offers you complete freedom, and believe us, feeling the wind on your face after getting sun at the beach is just unbeatable.

To get the most out of your trip here, biking is the way to go.
