Eating and Drinking
It’s no secret that Savannah has some top notch restaurants and it might be hard to decide what to try…. Here are a few recommendations!
The Savannah Tequila Co. has amazing tacos and well… Tequila! Have a plate of tacos and a drink, and see why both locals and tourists alike love this spot.
The District Smokehouse is one of Savannah’s most well known and best restaurants. Experience some mouth watering BBQ from people that really know how to do BBQ. Grab some craft beer, cocktails, or house made root beer to pair with it, and you’ll be in paradise!
Brunching
Brunching is big right now and we know how important some good mimosas and delicious courses can be on a vacation. Here are some spots in Downtown Savannah that you won’t be disappointed with when having brunch.
Sunday Gospel Brunch is a family friendly live music venue in Savannah. There’ll be a buffet style brunch along with a live gospel performance. The menu offers many amazing dishes such as: slow-smoked brisket, chicken and waffles, lowcountry shrimp and grits, cheddar scrambled eggs, a selection of beverages, and much more.
The Ordinary Pub is a well known spot for locals and tourists that is located downstairs. It offers an amazing brunch menu that will leave you craving it over and over. Try some breakfast mac and cheese, a breakfast burger, or some endless mimosas or endless moscow mules. Either way, you will not be disappointed.
Fun Experience Based Eating
If you're looking for a place to eat where you can experience things and have some fun while doing it, then these are the places you should try! So many spots in Savannah will offer you amazing food, but only a few have an experience with it!
The Baobab Lounge is an elegant and immersive lounge where you’ll find yourself in an array of African cultures. It's a celebration and an absolute must-try! You’ll be introduced to a selection of curated wines, cocktails, and small plates, while you can experience all the art around you.
Riverside Biergarten is a friendly outdoor space that allows you to celebrate Bavarian-style with Oktoberfest music and authentic food and drink. Bratwursts, Bavarian Pretzels, and a locally brewed beer will certainly put a pep in your step!
Bars and Nightlife
Nightlife lives in Savannah, you’ll be shocked at the amount of locals that seem to know all the best spots at 2 in the morning because around here, it's increasingly normal to party and meet new people until the sun comes up! Here are some city favorites for dance, drinking, and meeting all the amazing faces.
Electric Moon Skytop Lounge is the place you’ll hear the most- and for good reason! This lounge is set against illuminated smokestacks and has the best signature cocktails with high energy music. This is the spot to go when in doubt of where the party is! Plus, the views from up there are just… electric!
The Treehouse is not for the faint of dance, these floors are meant to be danced on and you’ll see why! With outdoor balconies wrapping around this covered rooftop bar, you’ll be able to get some air from all the festivities inside. It’s slightly hard to remember to do that though because you won’t want to stop dancing once you start!
Sightseeing
Savannah is absolutely breathtaking, and we know you’ll want to see it all before you leave.
There are tons of great ways to sightsee in Savannah, but the sure fire ways to take in all the history are the trolley tours. These are tourist-loved rides that give you a story with the fun of the trolley. Choose from a haunted trolley ride, or the normal history packed one, and really take it all in!
The Riverboat Cruise is one you’ll absolutely want to go on at least once while you’re here. With buffet style food and a rooftop lounge deck on top of the boat, it offers so many amazing sights and an even better experience.
Savannah really is the most historical, and fun place to visit. Though there may be modern nightlife and some amazing food, most of these buildings and establishments are untouched and reutilized from their former glory. A lot of streets are cobblestone, and the churches and infrastructure remain the same. It's truly a blast and experience from the past, and a trip worth taking.
