With moss-draped oak trees, waterfront views, and an abundance of things to do, a brief visit from Hilton Head to Beaufort is a must during your getaway. Take a Carriage Tour
Experience the town just like travelers did over 100 years ago! A horse-drawn carriage ride will guide you through the Beaufort historic district as you learn all about the many trials and adventures the city has endured over 300 years. It is a fascinating experience that you won’t soon forget.
See the Old Sheldon Church
Built between 1745 and 1753, these incredible ruins tell an even more incredible story. Originally recognized as Prince William’s Parish Church, the Old Sheldon was burned by the British in 1779 and rebuilt in 1826. Today, you will view beautiful ruins from the bygone era and many ancient graves. This is also the burial site for important members of history including Colonel William Bull and General Oglethorpe. Many locals believe this location is haunted, and you may find ghost hunters wandering the grounds just before dark.
Enjoy a Beaufort River Tour
Venture through the waters that have captivated explorers and invaders since 1521! Your USCG licensed captain will introduce you to Beaufort from a new vantage point while aboard the river tour. Take in the stunning sunset views and misty breeze while dolphins splash around the ferry for your attention.

Sweet tea is a Lowcountry staple, and now it gets even better! The Scout Southern Market is a unique shop filled with fabulous gifts and food items.
