Girls Getaway Guide To Hilton Head Island

Hilton Head Island is perfect for your next girls' getaway! There's something for everyone and every style of vacationing. Once you have secured your Hilton Head Island vacation rental to suit your guest and party size, you will want to get planning your restaurants and activities. Here are some ideas for activities on your girls' getaway and what we think could just be the "perfect" day.

The Perfect Day

1. Rent bikes from Forest Beach Surf & Cycle and you can ride the miles and miles of pathways on Hilton Head. Try to get out early morning, pre-sunrise (you can do it!) and bike ride to the beach and watch the sun come up. The best place to watch the sun come up is near Chaplin Park/Marriott's SurfWatch. The sunrise is unbelievably gorgeous on a clear or even a partly-cloudy day.  Then bike to Starbucks with your friends to grab a cup of coffee. Hilton Head now has 4 free-standing Starbucks on the island and there are several Starbucks in grocery stores, too!

2. Plan a day at the beach! Don't forget to pack a beach umbrella, chairs, towels, sunscreen, bug spray and a cooler for the day! There are several beaches you can visit. Visitors enjoy Islander's Beach on Hilton Head or Coligny Plaza.  Both have free parking but book up quickly, so it's best to get there early. Down by Coligny, you will find volleyball near the Tiki Hut and you & your girls can jump in a game. If that's not your thing, your beach chairs are calling your name!

3. While you are down at Coligny Plaza, consider visiting either the Tiki Hut or Pool Bar Jim's for a true vacation vibe. Both have all the fruity drinks and cocktails you can imagine. From Rum Runners to Pina Colada's, you and the girls will surely find something you like!

4. You can stop into any of the great restaurants at Coligny Plaza to get something to eat.  For a tasty lunch, visit It's Greek to Me for flavorful food! You will also find New York City Pizza, The Sandbar, Gringo's Diner, and Skillets Cafe & Grill at Coligny.

5. After your lunch, consider a game of tennis! There are several places to book at court, make sure you call in advance. Visit Palmetto Dunes Racquet Club to learn about court reservations, fees & how to book.

6. You will want to make sure to have dinner reservations. For an upscale girls night, visit The Sage Room for a truly gourmet treat.  Santa Fe Cafe is a another Islander favorite for special occasions. Visit their website here! If you are willing to wait for a table, we also recommend The Dockside or Hudson's Seafood on the North End of the Island.

7. If you are still awake and want to stay out a little longer, visit The Rooftop Bar. "When the sun goes down, the rooftop heats up!" at Poseidon. If you want to plan a bachelorette party or girls' group event, they have a package for you! Visit their website to learn more

This action packed day can be repeated over and over again.... if you have the energy! Or pick and choose parts of this day and do it over the course of several days.  We think you & your girls will have an amazing vacation on Hilton Head Island.  Surely, it will be one to remember!
